So we live in a very small town. And the longer I live here the more I’m realizing it’s all about who you know. Take this sauna stove for instance. We got it for free. I work at Shute’s bar and that’s where I met Bob Menagusso. He knows everyone and is a self described sauna aficionado. He had a buddy who was going to scrap this stove but Bob knew someone would want it. He cleaned it up for us and even welded a couple of bits on. I painted it with shiny black high temp paint and now it looks super. So far in this project we have gotten 6 free windows, borrowed countless tools including a cement mixer, are using free wooden pallets to make a floor, have a free sauna stove, and are planning on scavenging for slate at the old quarry. A tight budget makes one quite resourceful and creative. Not to mention this is a lot more fun.
